Actor Rahil Azam is one of the most eligible bachelors of the television industry and is currently winning hearts with his character, DSP (Deputy superintendent of police) Anubhav Singh in Maddam Sir. The 40-year-old did an exclusive Instagram Live with ETimes TV on Valentine's Day and made some interesting revelations about his idea of love.
Considering the occasion, we asked Rahil Azam if he has a Valentine, and the actor replied, "No.
For me, Valentine was never there, nor is it. As a person, I don't believe in Valentine's Day. Even if there is a lover in your life, why just a day, love should be celebrated everyday. For married couples, everyday is the day of love. I don't believe in this concept of Valentine's Day but best wishes to those who celebrate this day."
When Rahil was asked about his idea of love, he immediately said, "You don't need a particular day for it. It's a moment, it's like 'hava ka jhonka'. It's all about emoting love through eyes. It starts from the eyes and then reaches the heart. There are many movies in which forceful romance is shown. In the film, 'Mughal-e-azam,' there is a feather scene between Dilip Kumar ji and
Madhubala ji where he's brushing the feather on her cheek, it's all in the eyes there. I think even the audience today has grown up a lot. They always prefer romance which is spoken through the eyes rather than dialogues."
Adding further about the qualities Rahil would like to have in his partner, he shared, "Most importantly, she should respect elders. I haven't really thought about having a partner, so it's getting really difficult for me to understand what qualities I want in my partner. I just know that the person whom I would want to be my partner should know their roots and respect their parents. Because only when they respect their parents, they would respect mine. These are such small things but after that the list is quite long (laughs) and that's the reason maybe I am still single. I am a perfectionist by nature which is good workwise but in real life, it's a headache because I seek perfection in every single thing. Maybe I am looking for perfection even in that person and therefore I don't have any partner."
Talking about marriage being on his mind, Rahil Azam further said, "Yes. Definitely it's on my mind but Allah knows better who it is and when it will happen. There's a match made for every person. Talking about his potential Ms. Perfectionist, Rahil said that he looks for perfection "visually." I think most of the guys look for or vice versa. Every person may have some 10-20 points that they look for a partner and out of which even if 15 points are met, then there's nothing to worry. Similarly for me, out of 100 even if 80 points are met, nothing like it then (chuckles)."
